"I tried this just about 20 minutes ago and it really worked. I was to the point of trying anything. I had a really bad sinus infection and once the antibiotics did their trick, my ear was still plugged and my hearing was terrible. I am getting on a plane in two weeks for an overseas flight and did not want to be dealing with this problem then.
So I tried this method and I was so relieved that my ear popped and amazed at the "junk" that came out, even after the infection was gone. My hearing is better already. I probably need to do it again as I forgot to do the Valsalva thing until about 10 minutes after I had done the flush.

I discovered this home remedy myself.
And I offer it here to you for free simply because I know how annoying
it is to suffer from clogged inner ears and there are no other remedies that work like this.
*This solution only works if it is your inner ear, or eustachian tube,
behind the ear drum, that is the problem. Not if it is wax build up in
the outter ear canal. If it is wax
then try this solution on WikiHow instead. I am not sure how to tell if it is wax, but I would say try the wax remedies first and then if they do not work then it is very likely not wax.

"I saw the neti pot that was recommended on oprah about a year ago and tried it but never this way and although I always thought I had some sort of sinus issues--the doctors always told me it was an ear infection/swimmers ear. I would use the ear drops prescribed by the Dr but later I would get the clogged tube--and I could tell by rubbing my right side of my neck and would feel soreness and a little drainage.
I tried this method and although it felt like I was going to drown while holding my breath--I FELT INSTANT RELIEF. I do believe I have a little more clogging than normal as I did it a few times and waited and still feeling little by little the breaking up of the mucas. I will try more tomorrow but I feel much better now. I never thought about using nasal spray for my ears--Thanks for your help.
For those other posts--if a doctor recommends the neti pot and prescribes nasal spray-why in the world wouldn't this be safe? It works and if you don't believe it then don't do it and continue to feel pain and spend your money on the doctor. I know for me all the doctors were just giving me meds and not getting to the root cause. Thanks again and I have favorite placed this and printed this so I can tell my friends and use for future reference as I am sure I will need it again."

"After yet ANOTHER sleepless night with the feeling of water in my ear (inner ear as it wouldn't drain) and the feeling of not being able to hear out of that ear well, I jumped online at 5 a.m. today and found this. Because I already own a Neti Kettle and Nasonex I tried it on the spot - convinced it wouldn't work as I've already tried the whole endonasal manipulation with no results. And NO KIDDING! Not only did my ear clear at once, but my EYES actually began tearing. I've been suffering with chronic dry eyes and allergy-type symptoms (but doctor said not allergies) for over 5 years. I've had my ducts plugged in the past and been on various drops and nothing helps. I thought something was splashing my eyes or dripping in them at first but now realize that they are just producing tears effectively for the first time in SO, SO long! I don't know if that is common but I wanted to post it just in case.
Okay, so I know I just tried this today and I will definitely follow up in the next few days/weeks to come, but I truly feel an incredible difference.
